§ 16-33. Sealing machine for nonpayment, generally.

After January 31 of each year, the permit and inspection department or the departmental
employees, will seal, in a manner that will prevent further operation, any coin-operated
machine upon which the tax required by this article has not been paid or upon which
the decal is not properly displayed. Any owner subject to this article shall be required
to pay a fee of thirty-five dollars ($35.00) for the release of any machine sealed
as provided herein for nonpayment of the tax or for failure to properly display the
decal evidencing the payment of the tax. Upon proof of payment of the occupation tax
provided for in this article, the penalties provided for in section 16-32 and the thirty-five dollar ($35.00) release fee, the permit and inspection department
or the departmental employees will remove the seal.
