§ 22-26. Restriction on operation of motorcycles.

  • (a)

    No person shall drive or operate a motorcycle upon or over any public or private property within the city, except upon public roadways, officially designated motorcycle trails, and areas designated for vehicular traffic. It shall be an affirmative defense in a prosecution under this section that the defendant was operating a motorcycle on private property with the prior written consent of the owner of such property or his agent.

    (b)

    As used in this section, the term "motorcycle" shall mean every motor vehicle having a saddle for the use of the rider and designed to travel on not more than three (3) wheels in contact with the ground, but excluding a tractor and machinery for maintaining and cleaning streets.
