§ 8-61. Who may do electrical work.

  • It shall be unlawful for any person to do electrical work or electrical maintenance work within the City of South Houston without a license issued under the provisions of this chapter. All such electrical work shall be done under the control, supervision, direction and responsibility of a master electrician. A journeyman or apprentice electrician who perform electrical work shall be an employee of the master electrician who owns their business, or an employee of the person, firm or corporation for whom the master electrician is employed as provided in section 8-65 at least one master or journeyman electrician shall be on each jobsite, and not more than two (2) apprentice electricians shall work under the supervision of a journeyman.
