§ 9-32. Unlawful acts.

  • It shall be unlawful to store and fail to report the following:

    Any hazardous substance, solid, liquid or gas which is subject to be stored or handled, in quantities of or in excess of fifty (50) pounds of solid or powder or more than fifty (50) gallons of liquid or gas, shall be reported to a South Houston Fire Official. This report shall be made in writing and shall be made within seventy-two (72) hours of receipt of the materials in the city limits of the City of South Houston. It shall contain the description, content, amount, emergency response guide book number from the latest edition of D.O.T. P-5800, location, quantity, and type container in which the material is stored. It shall also include the name of the person or persons who can be contacted in case of fire or other emergency and the phone number or numbers where this person can be located after business hours. The report shall also include a comprehensive floor plan of the business or residence with the location of the hazardous material shown.
