ORDINANCE NO. 514

An Ordinance Replacing the Existing Zoning Ordinance and Dividing the City of South Houston, Texas, into Districts, and Within Said Districts Regulating and Restricting the Size of Buildings and Other Structures, the Size of Yards, Courts and Other Open Spaces, the Density of Population, the Location and Use of Buildings, Structures, Land for Trade, Industry, Residence, and Other Purposes: Establishing a Board of Adjustment and Prescribing its Powers and Duties: Providing the Penalties for the Violation of the Ordinance: and Repealing all Ordinances in Conflict Therewith.

WHEREAS the City Council of the City of South Houston, Texas, has heretofore deemed the existing zoning ordinance to be in need of corrections and has appointed a zoning commission to recommend boundaries of various districts, appropriate regulations to be enforced therein and any changes thereto as the existing ordinance may require and such zoning commission having held public hearings after giving due notice thereof, as required by law, and having submitted its final report, after having held such hearings, to the City Council, and such report being before the City Council, who is fully advised thereon, and the City Council being aware of the need for amendment to the existing zoning ordinance; THEREFORE
