§ 8-147. When a permit is not required.

(a)

No permit shall be required for replacing fuses or lamps or the connection of portable equipment to suitable receptacles which have been permanently installed or for repair to portable appliance.

(b)

No permit shall be required for minor repair work such as repairing or replacing flush and snap switches, receptacles and lamp-sockets, or minor repairs on permanently connected electrical apparatus, appliances, fixtures or equipment, or the installation of light globes.

(c)

No permit shall be required for any official electrical work performed in the city by employees of the State of Texas or County of Harris or city employees.
